What Elon Musk Has To Say When Actress Maisie Williams Asks Twitter About Going Long On Bitcoin

What Elon Musk Has To Say When Actress Maisie Williams Asks Twitter About Going Long On Bitcoin

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX has talked about Bitcoin on Twitter yet again. This time, Musk was responding to a question posed by Maisie Williams, the famous English actress known for her role as Arya Stark in one of HBO’s most-watched historical drama series Game of Thrones.

Williams took to Twitter to ask her followers whether she should go long or short on bitcoin using a Twitter poll. Going long on an asset simply means buying it with the expectation that its price will increase significantly at some point in the future. Shorting an asset, on the other hand, means selling it with the belief that the price will drop.

Notably, Williams’ question came as bitcoin surged to new 2020 highs on Monday. Yet, it appears that Twitter believes she should short her bitcoin investment. At the time of writing this, 788,067 people have voted so far. 54.6% of the voters said no while 45.4% responded with a yes.

Elon Musk responded to the 23-year old actress by saying: “Toss a bitcoin to ur witcher”.

It should be noted that this is not the first time Musk has mentioned cryptocurrency with a Witcher reference. In January this year, Musk said in a now-deleted tweet: “Toss some dogecoin to ur witcher”. This is a reference to the song “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” from The Witcher television series.

While Musk has in the past plainly stated that the meme coin Dogecoin was his favorite cryptocurrency, he still praises bitcoin. Earlier this year, the tech billionaire said bitcoin could be a valid replacement for cash and later responded to JK Rowling by indicating that “massive currency issuance” by central banks across the globe made bitcoin look “solid by comparison”.

Williams Gets A Flood Of Replies To Her Query

Per usual, crypto Twitter jumped on the opportunity to advise the popular actress regarding her investment inquiry. Well-known crypto pundits including Grayscale CEO Barry Silbert, Tron founder Justin Sun, Galaxy Digital’s Mike Novogratz, analyst Crypto Bitlord, and others urged Williams to buy bitcoin as it is en route to new highs.
