On August 15, 2020, Epik Protocol released the “Obelisk” of the test network, which aroused users’ expectation and enthusiastic pursuit of the main network line. To this end, Epik Protocol is expected to release its main network v1.0 “Rosetta” in the fourth quarter of 2020.
In order to promote the smooth transition from the test network to the main network, the Epik Protocol Foundation decided to invest 5 million EPKs and start one million pre excavation activities. All these 5 million EPKs will be used for the pre excavation activities of the test network before the main network goes online. Among them, 2.5 million EPKs will be used for the mining incentive of the test network, and the remaining EPKs will participate in the next stage of activity awards. 1. What is the reward?
The mining reward in pre excavation activities is mainly in the form of ERC20-EPK. The issuance of ERC20-EPK awards will stimulate the vitality of users’ participation to the maximum extent, improve the liquidity of the ecological value of Epik Protocol, lay a solid user foundation for the online launch of the main network v1.0 “Rosetta”, and promote the improvement of the ecological system of Epik Protocol.
2. How to participate?
(1) Estimated start time: September 6, 2020
(2) Participation requirements: all Filecoin hard disk mining machines can participate in the mining incentive scheme
(3) Participation mode: users download and create wallets from the official website of Epik Protocol [wallet] (which will be online in the near future), then go to the mining page and submit a form to apply to become the pre mining node of the test network. After the application is passed, the user will receive 201 tEPKs (special passes for test network, which cannot be traded and have no actual value) in their wallets for mortgage mining of the test network. Users can participate in mining by deploying nodes according to “appendix mining Manual of test network”. The platform will release 50000 ERC20-EPKs every day, and these 50000 ERC20-EPKs will be divided according to the respective mining proportion of the day. In addition, after waiting for the main online line, ERC20-EPK will directly exchange 1:1 for the main network EPK.
Co construction and sharing of human eternal knowledge base
With the promotion of millions of pre excavation activities, the users and ecological foundation of the main network of Epik Protocol are constantly improved. The main network v1.0 “Rosetta” will be officially launched in the near future, and the construction and improvement of human eternal knowledge base will open a new chapter.
